About BrimVoice

We build voice-first wearable technology for people who move through their day outdoors — commuters, runners, field workers, and delivery drivers.

Our story

BrimVoice started with a simple observation: the people who need quick information most — cyclists navigating traffic, runners checking routes, field technicians logging inspections — are the same people for whom pulling out a phone is the most disruptive and the most unsafe.

Smartwatches helped, but they still demand a glance. Earbuds block ambient sound. We wanted something that fits naturally into the way people already dress for outdoor work and movement, delivers only the information that matters in the moment, and never asks you to look away from what is in front of you.

The result is a voice-assistant hat: embedded audio in the brim, a push-to-talk button you can find by feel, and a companion app that handles setup and review while the hat handles everything in motion.

Mission and values

Reduce distraction and friction for outdoor movers while improving navigation confidence and safety awareness.

Calm

We communicate with steadiness and restraint. Alerts are tiered with quiet defaults, and prompts use short, predictable patterns. No surprise chimes or rapid-fire sequences.

Practical

Optimized for real-world conditions: motion, weather, gloves, noise, and time pressure. Large controls, minimal steps, and clear messaging when connectivity is limited.

Respectful

We treat users as capable. Permission requests explain the immediate benefit and always offer a way to decline without penalty. Review screens make it easy to manage your data.

Precise

Specific, unambiguous language and consistent structure to reduce cognitive load. Each prompt includes the minimum necessary details: what, when, and the next step.

Design principles

  • Design for interrupted attention. Every step must survive distractions and quick glances.
  • Make state visible. Mic, mode, connection, and mute status are always easy to confirm.
  • Default to reversibility. Users can undo, revise, or delete without hunting or regret.
  • Prefer progressive disclosure. Keep core paths simple; reveal depth only when asked.
  • Treat edge cases as first-class. Noise, rain, gloves, low battery, and spotty signal are expected conditions, not exceptions.

Built for the way you move

BrimVoice keeps you informed and connected without ever asking you to stop, look down, or take your hands off what matters.
